Medicine Isn't Plumbing

Cardiac stents may open a clogged artery but it does not relieve the systemic problem(s) that led to the obstruction. Nor does it address the additional obstructions that already or will exist. That requires a change in lifestyle and some medications. Medicine isn't plumbing but some physicians may be plumbers. Whether or not they do any good depends upon the situation and the followup. An obstruction is a specific problem but a patient is a person.
